June

So it's time to wrap up the month of June -

Travel
Last year Mr. UR got bumped off his airline flight and received vouchers for compensation. We had to use them by the beginning of July so we booked flights to see our two older kids. So we flew to Boston and picked up our daughter and headed to Mystic, CT where a friend loaned us his guest cottage to use. We visited Mystic, Stonington, and Noank in Connecticut and also took the ferry over to Block Island in Rhode Island. Definitely more to come on that. We also were to spend a week in St. Petersburg Beach, FL with friends to celebrate their 30th anniversary but some family medical issues happened so we weren't able to do that. But....we did spend a day on each end of the week with them in St. Pete.

Eats
My favorite food of the month was pizza at Mystic Pizza. Yes, that Mystic Pizza. The one from the movie. And as touristy as it is, the pizza was really good. I also liked The Brass Monkey in Pass-a-Grille, Florida and Boardwalk in St. Pete Beach. We all got appetizers and shared them around. Yummy.

Read
Sad to say but I only read one book this month, The Blue Zones Solution by Dan Buettner. It's a non-fiction read detailing the Longevity Study by the author and his colleagues in the places around the world where people live the longest. Really interesting read and it also contains some recipes from those "blue zones."

So that wraps up June and we are already onto July. Let the fun begin!
