Armchair travel in a Time of Pandemic

It's a scary and uncertain time in our world right now. Travel has come to a halt, cities are on lockdown and the economy is in a tailspin. So this week I'm bringing you some ways to travel from the comfort of your own home - armchair travel, if you will - until we the seat belt sign is off and we can move about the cabin. Here are a few virtual travel ideas:

20 Amazing Places You Can Visit Without Leaving Home -
Travelzoo is one of my favorite discount travel websites. Every week, in newsletter form, they send out the Top 20 travel deals they have found. This week they switched it up and sent out 20 Amazing Places You Can Visit Without Leaving Home. The list includes such places as: SafariLive, Volcanoes National Park, The Taj Mahal and Deep Dives. I plan on visiting all 20!

An Oklahoma Museum Guard Becomes an Unlikely New Social Media Star
Tim, the head of security at Oklahoma City's National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum, wasn't on social media. He didn't know about The Facebook, The Twitter or The Instagram. But when the museum closed due to the corona virus, Tim became the new "content creator". Admittedly a newbie and not tech savvy, Tim takes his followers on a tour around the museum and is learning hashtags - his grandson told him to use them. No matter who you are, I think you'll find this article uplifting!
